GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Surfaces to be painted must be degreased, dry and free of loose rust, calamine and dirt.
NOT PREPARED SURFACES:
Steel: can be applied directly without primer. If the surface is rusty, sand lightly to confer roughness to the substrate, removing badly adhered oxide. In medium corrosion environments, steel must be sanded to ST 3 grade of the UNE EN ISO 8501-1 standard. Under these conditions, a minimum thickness of 100 microns (3 dry coats) will be necessary.
Aluminum and galvanized steel: Sand until matting and apply directly Oxirón Varnish Antioxidant Water.

MAINTENANCE SURFACES ALREADY PAINTED IN POOR CONDITION:
Remove rust and poorly adhered paint coatings using emery sandpaper or a barbed brush. To apply the finish, proceed as on unpainted surfaces.
