Tips for American Acrylics
Spit a small amount of the bottle at a time as the acrylics dry out so quickly.
The adhesive tape applied on the already dried acrylic paint will not damage the existing paint, thus facilitating the production of a hard or sharp edge.
Glass or high-density plastic is a large reusable palette because acrylic paints do not adhere to them, making cleaning easier.
Typically, the shelf life for most paints is 5-7 years. If stored in a closed container under stable life temperatures, the shelf life may be indefinite. Here are some guidelines to follow to determine if your America acrylics are still good to use:
If your paintings can be remixed by shaking or shaking, they are okay to use.
If paints can not be shaken or shaken successfully, they should be discarded and replaced.
If there are small pieces of dry matter in the paint, you can create a filter by unscrewing the paint cap by placing a small piece of nylon stocking or similar thin tissue over the opening and replacing the cover. When the paint is squeezed, dry matter will remain inside the bottle, and only the smooth paint will flow out.
If there are "strings" in the paint, it is best to discard it and replace it.
The drying time may depend on temperature, humidity, application thickness, etc. American acrylics normal dry to the touch in 15 minutes or less.
American Acrylics can be used on surfaces such as metal, glass or cloth, as long as you use the appropriate medium. To paint on metal or glass, first apply with multipurpose sealer or mix directly with the paint. Mix medium of fabric paint with paint for painting on fabric. The painted design should be heated with an iron once the paint has healed.
